How long does a custom design project take? What is the process? TOP

Custom designs vary depending on the scope of the concept, how accessible the information is for the project, and how available the client is for emails and information. We try to accommodate our custom orders in a timely and efficient manner, but generally speaking, design orders (wedding, business, custom printing) take 2-4 weeks.

I have a design prepared and I just need it printed. Do you print customer-created designs? TOP

Yes! Pairing your design with our state-of-the-art printing and paper choices is a match made in heaven. There are file and size requirements, so please contact us with any questions or to inquire about additional sizes and folding cards that are not on our site.  View the 5" x 7" Custom Artwork Card Here.

What kind of photos can I upload and how do I do it? TOP

If your item does not contain a photo upload Form, the comformation email for your order will contain a link that will take you to the photo upload page. Fill out the infomration, along with your order #, and we'll send you a proof of your design to approve.  Faulty link? View the photo upload page here.

What file format should I use?
We accept .jpgs and .png files. All photos must be 300 DPI or higher at their printed size (the size your photo will be when it's printed) to ensure clear, crisp print quality. DPI, or dots per inch, is the number of dots or pixels of color per inch in a printed document. The higher the DPI, the sharper and more detailed the image.

Can I change my photo after I have received a proof?
Yes. If you are not happy with the photo you provided, or change your mind, you may request changes or submit another photo to use. Simply e-mail your design consultant with explicit instructions for cropping or editing, and/or your new photo, and we will send you a new proof. (Please note: after your design is approved, it is added to our print queue and cannot be changed.)

Will you Adjust or Edit my photo?
Minor photo enhancements are included. Our designers will adjust your photo to ensure optimal printing, including optimizing color calibration and contrast.

**Customers that are submitting a pre-edited professional photograph can select the "Do not retouch" option on this form to let our design team know that your photo needs no adjustments.**

We cannot accommodate detailed manipulations of photos, such as changing the background color, removing blemishes or stains, etc. Our designers simply can't guarantee that the results will look natural and match your expectations. If you have questions about whether your request falls in this category, please contact us. We will consider a request for more intensive photography editing on a case-by-case basis. Do you design illustrations for weddings? I want a custom made drawing with elements from my wedding for my invitation. TOP

Yes! We frequently create one-of-a-kind art for invitations.  Many customers want designs based on a specific element of their wedding or ceremony. What is included in the "Simple Assembly Kit" that comes with Folding Wedding Invitations? TOP

Folding invitations are an elegant and beautiful way to announce your wedding - but they also contain the most elements, making them some of the most expensive invitations on the market today. Our folding invitations come unassembled - which allows us to offer the lowest price possible and pass the savings directly to the customer!  In addition, it allows our DIY brides the opportunity to add their own special touches without damaging a finished invitation.

Our Simple Assembly Kit is included with all folding invitation orders. It includes directions for assembly, 2 rolls of Double Sided Scotch® Brand Tape (which we have tested and used here in our studio and it's the best!) and a few extra invitations in case of mistakes. Assembly is really very quick and simple!...especially if you gather some friends or family around and have an assembly party. The process: Tape the printed Invitation to the back of the Envelopment, then tuck your information cards into the pocket - fold up the Envelopment, slide it into the Outer Envelope, and you're done!

 

Do you offer wedding/party invitation printing for pre-purchased DIY or Print-at-home invitaton kits? TOP

Yes...as long as the type/finish and size is well-suited for our machines. (Most major retail stores carry compatible invitations.) Read more on our DIY Invitation Printing page.

I want a party invitation and I don't see what I want on your site. TOP

Just contact us! We are happy to see if a design can be adjusted to fit your needs, or a custom design can be created for a small fee.

How soon will I get my order once it's placed? TOP

We take pride in the quality of our products and take the time to make most of our items by hand.  The process times vary depending on the product you order.

  • Stationery, Notepads, and Labels - about 5-7 business days from start to finish, plus shipping time from Denton, Texas.
  • Wedding Invitations - about 2-4 weeks from completion of design, plus shipping time from Denton, Texas.
  • Business Printing - about 2-4 weeks from completeion of design, plus shipping time from Denton, Texas.

Do you accept returns? TOP

We want you to be as delighted in your purhcases as we are in making them for you.  If we've made an error on your order, just let us know; we'd be happy to make it right as quickly as possible.  Please keep in mind that all customized products are made-to-order -- specifically for you -- from scratch; therefore, it is non-returnable and non-refundable.  Canceled, refused or returned orders that have been printed are subject to a 15% service fee, and shipping fees are non-refundable.

We copy and paste personalization direct from each order to help prevent spelling errors.  It is very important to type the personalization correctly and double-check all spelling before placing an order.  The Blue Door Paperie™ cannot be held responsible if the order information provided is incorrect.  However, if we have made an error, we will promptly reprint the item and ship it to you at no charge. 

I have never ordered invitations online before - can I set up an in-person consultation? TOP

We have built our business on providing easy and convenient invitation creation online.  Although it sounds like an impossible task, it REALLY is easy and fun - - You might be surprised how good we are at it, and how comfortable you feel with the process once you begin. Unlike traditional printers whom you meet with only once or twice, give them your wording and wait for the final product, we are available everyday to answer your questions, share creative ideas and suggest wording, and have the ability to provide email samples of exactly what your invitation will look like once it's done. A great way to begin is to order samples and see for yourself the quality of our products! We can meet with clients or wedding coordinators in the DFW area who require special services or requests by appointment and after a phone consultation has been conducted.

There was no invoice with pricing in my package. Did Blue Door Paperie forget to include it? TOP

Customers receive invoices and product updates via email. We send these out daily, so if you have not received one, we may have an incorrect email address on file/in your order. Please email bluedoorpaperie@gmail.com with the subject "Invoice Needed". We will be happy to send you any missing invoices at that time.

I am a designer and would like to have my designs featured on this site. Will you meet with me? TOP
